Initially, all the submitted manuscipts are scanned using iThenticate software to check their similarity index. Next, based on in-house reviewing it is decided to send the manuscript for the blind review. All manuscripts go through a peer review process before publication. However, if the manuscript clearly lies outside the scope of the journal, the author is informed immediately to submit the manuscript to another journal. After initial screening, if the manuscript follows submission guidelines it will be sent to two reviewers in the field. Both the reviewers and the author will be anonymous. Authors can expect to receive the result of initial analysis within two weeks. The entire process from submission to peer-review process and final decision takes about three months, depending on the degree of required revisions. All in all, nearly 25% of the submitted manuscripts are accepted. The authors can expect to receive one of the following three decisions:
(a) Accept (with minor/major revision)
(b) Revise and Resubmit
(c) Reject
